○ The Caretaker was a revival of Alan Ayckbourn's production at the Library Theatre, Scarborough, during the summer of 1962. When Studio Theatre Ltd moved to its first permanent home at the Victoria Theatre, Stoke-on-Trent, in autumn 1962, a number of productions from that summer in Scarborough were revived.
○ For the revival of The Caretaker, the role of Aston was taken by Alan Ayckbourn as the original actor, Peter Gill, had not joined the company in Stoke-on-Trent.
○ The play was originally advertised as closing on 2 February 1963, but was actually presented for a week as a 'special revival' for the final week of the season from 29 July - 3 August 1963.
○ This production was also presented in Darlington Hall in June 1963.
