Notes

This was the first play written by Northern Echo journalist Peter Hawkins and its first professional production. An amateur production had been staged at the National Student Drama Festival winning second prize.
The play was reported as featuring a ‘guest artiste’ in Alan Rothwell and he only appeared in this production during the 1969 summer season. Alan Rothwell was better known for his role as David Barlow in the television soap opera Coronation Street.
